Privacy policy

We keep this short because the site only does a few things: accounts, book listings, and helping a buyer call a seller.

What we collect

• Name, password, phone number, and city when you register
• Book name, class/course, semester, subject, price, and photo when you sell
• Which books you mark as bought, so you can find them again under Return books
• Approximate location from your phone or browser if you allow it while logged in. We store this only to calculate a straight-line distance between a buyer and a seller. We do not show anyone your map pin or exact coordinates.
• Basic logs the server needs to run (for example, that a page was opened)

There is no OTP. We do not ask for email, bank, or UPI details.

Who can see your details

Your name, phone number, and city are shown on your book listing to people who are logged in, so a buyer can call you and agree a meeting place. Do not post extra private information in the book description. Buyers may also see an approximate distance, such as “About 8 km away”. That distance is calculated from stored locations. The locations themselves are never shown.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not run ads on this trial site.
• We do not take payment, so we do not store card or UPI information.

Photos

Book photos are stored on the server that runs this website so other students can see the listing. Only upload a photo of the book you are selling.

Cookies

We use a small cookie to remember that you tapped I understand and accept on the Terms and Privacy notice, so we do not show that popup every time. Login also uses cookies so you stay signed in.

Removing your information

You can delete your own book listings while logged in. If you want your account removed, contact the person who shared this site with you, or use the site admin if you have been given that access.
